19th Century French Dough Bowl

Antique nineteenth century French dairy bowl, otherwise known as a pancheon, dating from the late nineteenth century. These rustic bowls were used traditionally for bread making, and would still be perfect for similar use today. The outside of the bowl is made from terracotta, and the inside is finished with a smooth, creamy colored glaze. This particular bowl is very large and would make a wonderful piece of decor in the kitchen for storing fruit and vegetables or linens.

In great vintage condition, especially given its age. Some areas of wear and discoloration from age and use (as shown in photos).

Measures approximately 6.5" tall, 14.75" around at top
