Durable, worn-in ticking fabric salvaged from a 1950's era mattress cover has been paired with canvas from a 1950's era Boyscout pack and turned into a perfect everyday carryall.
The material used to construct this bag is over 60 years old but still in the most wonderful condition. Printing & hardware from the original canvas has been incorporated into this tote to highlight the unique nature of the material. Any discoloration of the fabric is the result of many years of natural wear and aging.
Fully lined with olive colored cotton, this large carryall can easily hold everything you need during the day or for a weekend away. Three good-sized outside pockets as well as two interior pockets can comfortably fit a wallet, ipod, phone, etc.
Handles made from WWII era cotton webbing.
Buckle closure made from 5oz cowhide & brass hardware.
Adjustable, removable shoulder strap made from 5oz cowhide & brass hardware.
Measures approximately 18in wide, 15 in tall, 4.5 in deep.
Much time and care is put into making every Forestbound bag one of a kind.
