I came across this collection of antique botanical pressings at an estate sale in New Hampshire; the box they were stored in had not seen the light of day for over 100 years and I audibly gasped when I removed the lid. They are in incredible condition! Since these pressings were so wonderfully preserved some of the specimens still show color and texture unlike any I've come across before. 

These botanical pressings were collected by Eva Beede Odell in the 1880's; each pressing is dated with the name of the plant species and the location where Eva collected the specimen. The pressings have all been carefully framed in gorgeous solid walnut frames that are ready for hanging. Each framed pressing includes a typed description about the origin of the pressings and a bit about Eva herself.
