World War 1 era Canvas & Cloud Camo Hiking Pack Carryall

Weeks ago we came across a grungy old hiking pack (see photo below) and knew that we wanted to salvage as many of the beautiful 1920's - 1940's era patches as possible - someone put a lot of time and energy into collecting them over the years and we wanted to do our best to keep that in mind when constructing a durable new carryall.

Sturdy, worn-in olive colored canvas salvaged from a World War 1 era duffle bag has been thoughtfully paired with Korean War era Mitchell Cloud Camo and transformed into a durable every day carryall. Features many great details - an assortment of great vintage hiking patches, three outer pockets, and WWII era cotton webbing detailing.

The fabric used to construct this bag approximately 100 years old but still in the most wonderful condition. Any discoloration of the fabric is the result of many years of natural wear and aging.

Fully lined with brown cotton canvas, this large bag can easily hold everything you need during the day or for a weekend away. Three large inner pockets as well as three outer pockets can comfortably fit a wallet, ipod, phone, etc.

Shoulder straps made from sturdy WWII era cotton webbing.

Bag measures approximately 18 in wide, 15 in tall, 5 in deep.

Strap drop approximately 8.5 in.

Much time and care is put into making every Forestbound bag one of a kind.
